If you have an Asiana flight booked for December 17 or later, look out for a reservation update from November. Here are the dates and a checklist for reviewing your booking before a year-end trip.

Separate the processing dates from your travel date

Item Announced details
Affected bookings Existing Asiana reservations and purchased tickets departing on or after December 17, 2026
Booking transfer and flight-number changes November 2–December 3, 2026, in stages
Individual notices Kakao notifications, text messages or email

These dates come from Korean Air’s September 14 announcement, in Korean. The processing window is separate from the departure date. Receiving a notice in November does not mean your trip has moved to November.

If a round trip crosses December 17, review the outbound and return flights separately. Check each departure date against the individual notice instead of assuming both flights will be handled identically because they share a booking.

Before the notice arrives

Check the phone number and email address in your reservation. If an agency issued the ticket, ask where it will send updates.

Keep the original e-ticket and payment receipts. They give you a record of the date, route and seat you booked when you compare the replacement details. Review separately booked family members or travel companions too.

Compare the updated reservation

This is a review checklist, not a list of changes the airline has announced for every booking.

Item What to compare
Flight Number, departure date and time, departure and arrival airports
Passengers Names and booked sectors, including companions
Connections Missing sectors or changed connection times
Seats and extras Selected seats, purchased baggage and requested meals
Other arrangements Arrival details given to airport transfers or accommodation

Open the reservation again before departure and save the latest e-ticket. An old screenshot may miss an update. If a time or airport differs, check whether your pickup or accommodation needs revised arrival details.

Check seats and extras individually

The announcement does not specify how selected seats, prepaid baggage or special meals will be handled. It does not establish that these will all carry over unchanged or require another payment.

Compare receipts and service confirmations with the updated booking. If an item is missing or different, contact the airline or ticket seller before paying again. Have your original booking reference, travel date and the missing item ready.

For change fees or refunds, check the instructions that apply to your own ticket. A flight-number change announcement alone does not establish eligibility for a free change or refund.

Announced and checked September 14, 2026. The preparation steps and checklist above are suggestions for reviewing a booking, not additional airline policies.
