KoreanToday I’m writing up Hotel Nikko Fukuoka, a short walk from Hakata Station.
I stayed one night here after wrapping up a trip around Saga, right before flying home. Hakata Station is about 10 minutes on foot, which made getting to the airport the next morning painless.
Exterior
The exterior, shot when we got in late at night. It’s right on a main road so you won’t have trouble finding it, and there’s a bus stop out front.
Lobby
The lobby is huge. High ceilings, marble floors — it’s a little overwhelming the moment you walk in.
There’s a seating area off to one side of the lobby. The windows are big and look straight out to the street, so it’s a nice place to sit while you wait for check-in.
Room

We booked two rooms this time — one double,
and the other was a twin.
The rooms were spotless. Not huge, but everything you need is there — and the amenities were LA MER, which caught me off guard.
Bathroom
The bathroom was clean too. It shows its age a bit, but there’s a proper tub — plenty good enough for a soak on the last night of the trip.

The room window looks out toward Hakata Station. As you can see, it’s genuinely right there — an easy walk even dragging a suitcase.
Breakfast
Breakfast was really good.
The spread wasn’t especially big, but everything on it was good — which I’ll take over a huge mediocre buffet any day.
Verdict
Location is what makes Hotel Nikko Fukuoka worth it. Hakata Station is a 10-minute walk, the airport run is easy, and there’s plenty of shopping and food within walking distance.
The hotel itself is big and well kept, and nothing about the stay bothered us.
The one catch is the price — it isn’t cheap.
Tenjin and Nakasu are a bit further out, but the subway runs straight there, so it never really got in the way.
If you’re after a hotel near Hakata Station — especially when an early flight means you need to be close to the airport — this is an easy one to recommend.
