Check the model on your power bank before packing. Air Seoul and Jin Air issued notices on October 2 prohibiting carriage of the recalled Pantone PBP-100. Jin Air says the restriction applies immediately to both cabin baggage and checked baggage.

Product identification
Compare the model and certification number on the device rather than relying on its colour or brand alone. These identifiers match Air Seoul’s notice and the Safety Korea recall record.
| Identifier | Recalled product |
|---|---|
| Brand | Pantone (팬톤) |
| Model | PBP-100 |
| Business listed in the recall | 디엘티테크코리아 |
| Certification/notification number | XU102998-24007 |
Safety Korea describes internal short circuits caused by unexplained heating and a possible fire risk. It instructs owners to stop using the product and request a recall. This record does not identify every Pantone model as recalled; check any other device separately.
Airline notices
| Airline | Timing | Carriage and airport checks |
|---|---|---|
| Jin Air | October 2 notice; immediate effect | Prohibits cabin and checked carriage; checks at departure formalities and boarding |
| Air Seoul | October 2 notice | Prohibits cabin carriage and transport; devices found at the airport may be collected and disposed of |
Moving the device into a checked suitcase is not a workaround. Neither notice gives an end date or an exemption for this product.
This article covers the two airline notices we directly checked. Jin Air’s agency page is labelled international flights. For a domestic flight or another carrier, consult that airline’s current notice too; this does not mean other carriers permit the device.
Packing and recall arrangements
We recommend checking every travel bag before leaving for the airport, including family members’ bags. Remove this recalled model from your packing and arrange the recall. If its markings are unreadable or you cannot establish whether it matches, contact the business listed above.
Safety Korea lists 1644-1749 and the business’s KakaoTalk channel for recall requests. Its record describes collection followed by a refund. Return arrangements and refund processing times are not detailed there; ask when submitting your request.
For a replacement, check its recall status and your operating airline’s capacity, quantity and storage rules separately. This particular notice cannot establish whether a different power bank is allowed.
