Trinity Airways and EVA Air have started an interline partnership linking their flights. Trinity’s notice, published on October 1, gives September 29, 2026 as both the sales and travel start date. Tickets are available through travel agencies.

For travelers departing Korea, this is another option to ask about when comparing journeys to the Philippines or China via Taiwan. The airport groups in the announcement do not establish that every possible pairing can be booked. Ask for a specific, ticketable itinerary before choosing a connection.

Eligible route groups

TW identifies Trinity Airways flights and BR identifies EVA Air flights. Trinity lists these groups:

Gimpo (GMP), Daegu (TAE) Songshan (TSA), Taoyuan (TPE) Clark (CRK), Manila (MNL)

BR 2001–3999 flights, operated by third-party airlines, are excluded. Check the flight number as well as the airline name. The Shanghai code in the notice is SHA; do not substitute another Shanghai airport.

The announcement does not give an end date, frequencies or schedules for individual combinations. Buying separate tickets on the airlines’ websites should not be treated as equivalent to the agency’s interline product. Request the ticketing arrangement and the full price for the whole itinerary.

Songshan and Taoyuan airport checks

Songshan (TSA) and Taoyuan (TPE) are different airports. The notice groups them in one table cell without confirming that every itinerary offers a same-airport connection. Compare the arrival airport with the next flight’s departure airport on the agency’s itinerary.

If they differ, ask about ground travel time and cost, baggage collection and recheck, and whether you can enter Taiwan for the transfer. Ask for an itinerary without an airport change if that is your preference. For a same-airport connection, still check the terminals and the time needed between flights.

Baggage rules

Trinity’s baggage page sets separate interline rules. For checked baggage, connections within 24 hours use the Most Significant Carrier’s rules. Stopovers of 24 hours or longer use each operating carrier’s rules. An exception applies to journeys involving arrival or departure in the United States or Canada: the first airline listed on the ticket supplies the rules for the whole journey. Cabin baggage follows the operating carrier for each segment.

An itinerary involving Vancouver or a stay of a day or longer in Taiwan may therefore have different baggage conditions. Confirm the allowance and excess charges against the actual ticket.

The partnership notice does not specify the conditions for checking bags through to the final destination. At departure, check the destination on the baggage tag and ask whether you must collect bags at the connecting airport.

Questions before payment

These are booking checks, rather than additional benefits confirmed by the announcement. Do not assume identical change, refund or missed-connection handling merely because the flights are sold as an interline itinerary.

Item What to ask the agency
Ticketing Is the whole trip issued as one interline ticket or as separate tickets?
Flight details Are any flights excluded, and who operates each segment?
Connection Is there an airport or terminal change, enough transfer time, or a need to enter Taiwan?
Baggage Which airline’s allowance applies, and must bags be collected and rechecked?
Changes and refunds What fare rules and agency fees apply across the itinerary?
Disruption Who handles a missed connection, and what are the rebooking conditions?

Mileage earning and lounge access are not confirmed in this notice. Verify them separately if they matter to you. Compare the total fare and total travel time with direct flights or other connecting options before paying.
