Lufthansa plans to resume nonstop Frankfurt–Nagoya flights in the 2027 summer schedule. The first service is scheduled for 29 March 2027, operating three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Frankfurt–Tokyo Narita also gains a daily flight from 28 March. Lufthansa Group’s announcement
Nagoya schedule
| Leg | Flight | Local departure | Local arrival | Operating days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Frankfurt → Nagoya | LH736 | 14:10 | 09:35 next day | Mon, Wed, Sat from 29 March |
| Nagoya → Frankfurt | LH737 | 11:30 | 18:30 | Tue, Thu, Sun (day after LH736 arrival; schedule inference) |
Times are local. Return weekdays are derived from the next-day arrival of the outbound service, so check the live booking display before booking. The Nagoya route is seasonal; the release does not specify when service ends after Summer 2027.
Daily Frankfurt–Narita flight LH710 starts on 28 March 2027. It leaves Frankfurt at 13:45 and arrives the next day at 09:30. Return flight LH711 leaves Narita at 11:20 and reaches Frankfurt at 18:40.
Connecting through Frankfurt
Nagoya operates three times a week, while Narita is daily. If you are connecting from Seoul through Frankfurt, check that your inbound flight connects to LH736 and whether both legs are sold on one ticket. Separate tickets can affect what happens if the first flight is delayed.
Lufthansa says both routes will use Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The announced cabin has 28 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats and 231 Economy seats. Check the aircraft and seat map again when booking, since assigned aircraft can change.
For comparisons with Tokyo and Osaka, the group says its four hub airlines—Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS and ITA Airways—will operate up to 50 weekly flights to four Japanese cities in Summer 2027. That is the group total; Frankfurt–Nagoya itself is scheduled three times weekly.
