Did you know you can fly from Incheon Airport straight to Jeju again?
The route was dropped in October 2016 for lack of demand and came back this May after almost ten years. Jeju Air is the only airline flying it.

It was only supposed to run for the summer, but it has now been extended until March 27 next year.
Flights also increase from November 2.

Schedule

Period Flights
May 12 – Nov 1 Twice weekly
Nov 2 – Mar 27, 2027 Three times weekly (Mon, Wed, Fri)

This is the only domestic route out of Incheon Airport.
At launch, check-in was at Incheon Terminal 1. Confirm the winter times and check-in location when you book.

Whether it will go daily has not been decided.
Jeju Air says it is “hard to answer before the winter season starts”, so winter load factors will likely decide it. (As reported by Travel Times.)

Who is flying it

According to Jeju Air, about 11,600 passengers flew the route by the end of August, at an average load factor of 87.1%.
The share of foreign travellers stands out: around 30%, led by about 1,170 Chinese passengers, followed by Americans, French and Japanese.

That points to people landing at Incheon from abroad and heading on to Jeju without crossing Seoul to Gimpo.
It works the same way for Korean travellers.
You can add Jeju on the way home from an overseas trip, and Jeju residents get an easier connection to Incheon’s international flights.

Free fares for children

On selected flights departing between November 15 and March 19,
bookings of three or more passengers that include children aged 2–12 get all children’s fares waived.

It only applies to “selected flights”, so not every date qualifies.
If you are planning a family trip to Jeju over the winter school holidays, check the booking screen for eligible flights.
Only the fare is waived, so taxes and charges such as airport fees may still apply.

The earlier sale, with one-way fares from ₩27,700 all-in, ended on September 20.

Why pick Incheon over Gimpo

If you are Why Incheon–Jeju helps
Flying back into Incheon from abroad Straight on to Jeju, no trip to Gimpo
Living in Incheon or western Gyeonggi Incheon Airport may be closer than Gimpo
Starting an overseas trip from Jeju Easier connection to Incheon’s international flights

That said, with only three flights a week it only helps if the dates work.
Gimpo–Jeju has dozens of flights a day, so if your dates are fixed, Gimpo is usually the better bet.

Also, unless the international and domestic legs are on one ticket, the Jeju flight will not wait if your first flight is late.
If you are connecting straight off an international arrival, leave plenty of time.
