A 2-night stay at the Crowne Plaza Seattle. Based on a February 2022 visit, booked via Priceline. Located right in the heart of downtown Seattle. Note: no breakfast review included.

Booking and Price

I booked through Priceline, same as my previous stay at the Hilton Seattle nearby. Check-in was February 19, check-out February 21 — 2 nights total. The hotel address is 1113 Sixth Avenue, Seattle WA 98101.

The rate was $92 per night, $184 for two nights. After a coupon discount of $27.60, the final total including taxes came to $219.38. A similar price point to the Hilton Seattle — Priceline’s Express Deal combined with coupon codes makes it possible to book downtown IHG properties at a pretty reasonable rate.
Location and Getting There

I took the Link Light Rail and got off at University Street Station, then walked to the hotel. It’s only a few minutes on foot, though there’s a slight uphill stretch along the way. The hotel sits right in the core of downtown Seattle, making it convenient for getting around the city.
Lobby and Check-in

The lobby is a double-height open space, modern and spacious. The lighting is distinctive, and the green plants throughout the interior give it a surprisingly upscale feel for an IHG property.

The front desk has a clean marble finish with an IHG Rewards sign on the counter. One thing worth noting: the hotel required a $100 cash or card deposit at check-in. I paid with a $100 bill and got it back as ten $10 bills on checkout — a bit of a quirk but no real issue.
Room

I was assigned a King Room. One king bed, a desk, and an armchair — the room had a calm beige-and-brown color palette that felt clean and restful.

View from the desk toward the window. The armchair by the window was a nice touch for relaxing. The room was a solid size — more than enough space for one person.

Wide-angle shot of the full room. The patterned carpet and wooden bed frame design were both to my liking.

Close-up of the headboard. Clean wood frame with white bedding. The bed itself was soft and comfortable.
Bathroom

The vanity had a backlit mirror that gave the bathroom a sleek, modern feel. Single-use amenity bottles were provided — something you don’t see as often these days.

Full bathroom view. A combination bathtub and shower with a curtain. Compact but well-maintained.
City View

The view from the room looked out over the freeway and downtown Seattle skyline. Despite the overcast weather, the view was open and fairly impressive. I was a little concerned about traffic noise given the freeway proximity, but it was barely noticeable inside the room.
Surroundings

Step outside and you’re in classic downtown Seattle. The area is lively even at night, with plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby. There was a Subway sandwich shop right next door — handy for a quick, cheap meal.

And right across the street, you can see the Hilton Seattle — where I stayed on a separate trip. Both hotels are on the same stretch of 6th Avenue, so they’re practically facing each other. If you’re curious about the Hilton Seattle stay, I’ve covered it in a separate post.
